tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-87570679962282370192011-04-21T12:53:16.142-07:00Swimming in a Puddle of Pearl-Colored CrossoversMinnownanoreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8757067996228237019.post-45534317474510202882011-01-18T19:32:00.000-08:002011-01-18T19:32:03.873-08:00Seriously...it isn't.&nbsp; I know what you're thinking.&nbsp; "Little fish in a little pond.&nbsp; How mundanely sad and pathetic.&nbsp; Better to be a big fish in a little pond."&nbsp; Not so, I say.&nbsp; You see, if I were one of the big fish, I would have to trade in my all-American mini van for one of those pearl-colored cross overs or&nbsp; super-sized (Gretchen's having a slumber party and since our SUV holds 20, she can invite all the girls in her class!&nbsp; She's so well-loved and popular!) behemoths.&nbsp; <br /><br />Why pearl-colored?&nbsp; Well, in my puddle, if your Lexus, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, etc...cross over or SUV is that color, then you know you've made it.&nbsp; Or at the very least, you can act like you have.<br /><br />This blog isn't completely about the haves and have nots.&nbsp; I most certainly am not completely in the have not category.&nbsp; Nope!&nbsp; I want to discuss life in a little pond from the viewpoint of someone who grew up in this little pond, lived far away in bigger ponds, and willingly moved back (I blame my occasional delusional dips).&nbsp; There are some definite pros to living here.&nbsp; I plan on sharing those as well.&nbsp; I also promise to keep the pond and fish metaphors to a minimum.&nbsp; I give you permission to call me out on it if I don't!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8757067996228237019-4553431747451020288?l=littlefishlittlepond.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Minnownanoreply@blogger.com0
